West Dunbartonshire Council’s Skills and Business Growth Programme will support 50% of your business’s training fees up to a maximum of £3,000. The aim of this grant is to improve business competitiveness and provide employees with transferable skills and knowledge.

Eligibility

To be eligible, your business must:

• be a small or medium-sized business
• be located in West Dunbartonshire
• employ less than 250 people
• not owe any debt to the council
• must have been trading for at least 12 months
• have 30% of their turnover generated outwith the West Dunbartonshire area

Eligible training fees must be external or additional to the company.

Training required by legislation is not eligible.

Priority will be given to businesses in the manufacturing sector and also businesses in the service sector which support manufacturing.

Retail businesses and businesses providing a service directly to members of the public are not eligible.

Training must be completed within a year of the date of approval for the grant.

You need to submit your application along with

• Copy of up-to-date management accounts
• Copy of a training plan provided by the relevant training provider
